A user managing Type 1 diabetes needed a personalised glucose monitoring tool that could aggregate readings from multiple devices, visualise trends over time, and send alerts without relying on expensive proprietary platforms.
We built Glucohome as a React Native application with a Firebase backend, enabling real-time data sync across iOS and Android. Custom charting components visualise glucose trends, and a rule-based alert engine notifies users of concerning patterns before they become critical.
Glucohome reduced manual logging time by over 80% and provided insights that helped the user and their endocrinologist make faster, more informed treatment adjustments. The app now has an active user base of health-conscious individuals beyond the original brief.
